Now that the holidays are over and the kiddie winks are safely back in school thoughts turn to Christmas. Not always willingly! If you are one of those that leave it to the last minute you may not appreciate this early reminder but it is something there is no getting away from.
Already the TV is plugging Christmas toys so not wanting to be left behind I wanted to share with you some of our lovely personalised Christmas gifts. We are adding them slowly but surely and hope to have something for everyone at prices to suit all pockets.
Most of our gifts are unique and extra special as they can be personalised with a name and / or special message. This makes a gift a keepsake that will always be treasured.
Amongst our gifts your will find Chrismas mugs, plates and beautiful bone china and glass Christmas tree baubles. There are only a limited number of products at the moment but as said above more are being added. If you don't see anything you like now please be sure to bookmark us and pop back again soon.
We have put a couple of product pictures below to give you an idea of what we have. If you like any just click the image to go to the product page.
Social media
is such an important part of our society these days that I have been
working really hard to improve our reputation within Facebook and
Twitter. For me its a bit like blogging a necessary evil but a must as a
marketing tool. For my children and grandchildren it is a way of life,
something they just could not possibly live without. I guess I must
just be getting old!
We have recently begun a Facebook business page and are with the
comparison site Shopmania. We would be thrilled if you would join us on
Facebook. Just click the heart logo in the left column to visit our Facebook page. If you like us while you are there we would be thrilled!
I can't believe how long it has been since my last entry, how time flies! Well the wedding season is now in full swing and having got Easter, Mother and Father's Day out of the way I wanted to share some of our new wedding products with you.

Well folks here is my, long overdue, new entry to Treasured Gifts UK blog. It's strange but it takes me so long to get round to doing this but once I get started I actually enjoy it!
Mother's Day has been and gone and I hope all you yummy mummy's received lots of lovely goodies from your loving sons or daughters.
Easter is upon us and time for the kiddie winks to get their yummy
treats, the expense never ends does it! I have 4 grandchildren and instead of Easter eggs, fattening and bad for their teeth, I decided to send something different this year. Each one received a personalised notebook like the one on the right. The younger one's getting animal and princess covers and the older one a too cool for school cover. They were thrilled to bits!
Well that expense is over with phew! but what's next.....oh yes its Father's Day and of course we can't leave out our long suffering dads.
We have a lovely selection of personalised gifts especially for the occasion. Gifts for dad, daddy, father and of course not forgetting step dad at prices to suit all pockets.

Gosh just looked at how long it is since I last wrote in here, tut, tut, should be ashamed of myself. I certainly am NOT the worlds best blogger!!
Anyway I digress. I just wanted to introduce a new and exciting line to our product list. Ready to go, semi-personalised engraved gifts.
These are a great alternative to our normal personalised range and as they are ready to go are priced lower and will be shipped sooner.
To explain, these gifts are already engraved with the occasion and a pretty motif to suit the occasion. The gifts include, flowergirl, and bridesmaid, Christening, Holy Communion, Baptism and birthday gifts etc. The gifts themselves include silver plated laser engraved, heart trinkets, money boxes, jewellery and paperweights.
There is only a small selection at the time of writing but more are being added each day.
Ever wondered where Father's Day comes from or how it originated? No....well I am going to tell you any way.
Oh and by the way it falls on the 20th June in the UK this year of 2010 so don't forget to checkout our extensive range of lovely personalised FATHER'S DAY GIFTS we have something suitable for every dad, daddy or father!!
Father's day, unlike Mother's day did not originate in the UK but in the US and unlike Mother's day in the UK it does not have a history going back centuries but is barely 100 years old and again unlike Mother's day it is not even recognised by the UK government as a public holiday.
Mrs John Bruce-Dodd of Washington State wanted a special day for her father in order to remember his selflessness and devotion to her and her siblings after her mother died whilst giving birth to her sixth child.
Her father, William Smart, was a veteran of the US Civil War and was so devoted to his children that rather than
re-marry he
brought up the children alone on a rural farm in Eastern
Washington
State.
When Sonora Dodd became an adult she wanted a way to show her deep appreciation to her father for his unswerving devotion to his family. After listening to
a Mother’s Day sermon in 1909 the idea for an
equivalent Father’s Day celebration started an idea forming in her head. A year later on her
father’s
birthday, 19th June, in Spokane Washington, she celebrated the
first Father’s
Day.
Although the yearly date of Father's day varies in the UK, Father's
day became a national celebration in the USA for the first time in 1924. President Calvin Coolidge supported the idea of a national Father's
Day but it was not until 1966 that it was set in statue in the USA
to fall on the 3rd
Sunday of June.
My shop Treasured Gifts UK has only been open a few days and not had time to write anything here yet, that's assuming I can find anything of interest to write and, also assuming that if I do who is to say it will be interesting to you. Ah to blog or not to blog that is the question?
Busy stocking my shop and working on my advertising campaigns, so much to do and so little time and all that. All work and no play makes Lesley a dull blogger. Yet another tired old cliche.
Cliches and Shakespeare apart, if you would like to join me on facebook, can't for the life of me think why on earth you would, where I occasionally make an appearance just click my facebook thingy. I know.. I know.. technical I am not!
